The Stranglers are a British rock band that formed in Guildford, Surrey, in 1974. The band's original lineup consisted of Hugh Cornwell (vocals, guitar), Jean-Jacques Burnel (bass, vocals), Dave Greenfield (keyboards), and Jet Black (drums).
