Robbie Williams Hints at New Rat Pack-Inspired Swing Album
Updated Jan 10
Robbie Williams, known for his chart-topping hit Robbie Williams Angels and his critically acclaimed swing album Swing When You're Winning, has expressed interest in creating another Rat Pack-inspired album. The English singer-songwriter, who previously delved into swing music with his 2001 album that peaked at number one on the UK Albums Chart, is eager to revive the classic genre.
Williams' passion for swing music is well-documented. His 2001 album featured covers of classic standards, collaborations with celebrities like Nicole Kidman, and a tribute to the Rat Pack era. The album was a massive commercial success, spending 57 weeks on the UK Albums Chart and being certified 7× Platinum.
However, Williams acknowledges that creating a new Rat Pack album depends on the cooperation of the estates of the original artists, adding an element of uncertainty to his musical ambition.
