Elvis Costello Revisits His Roots with 2025 'Radio Soul!' Tour
Updated Dec 13
Elvis Costello and The Imposters are set to embark on the Radio Soul!: The Early Songs of Elvis Costello tour in 2025, a journey through the singer-songwriter's formative years. The tour, which kicks off on June 12 in Seattle and concludes on July 12 in Miami Beach, will feature a repertoire of songs spanning from Costello's 1977 debut album My Aim Is True to his 1986 album Blood & Chocolate.
Joining Costello on this nostalgic trek are The Imposters, comprising Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas, and Davey Faragher, along with guest guitarist Charlie Sexton. The performances promise a mix of the faithful and the unexpected, with Costello emphasizing that the band is "a living, breathing, swooning, swinging, kicking and screaming rock and roll band" rather than a tribute act.
The tour also hints at "other surprises," including the early version of "Radio, Radio," titled "Radio Soul," which dates back to 1975 demos. This tour marks a unique opportunity for fans to experience Costello's early works brought into the present day, highlighting the enduring appeal of Elvis Costello songs.
